Insul-Shield® is your best protection against fire caused by heat build-up from insulation over or too close to non-IC-rated recessed lights or other heat producing fixtures. Insul-Shield® is made of a lightweight aluminum material. Each 14″ x 24 ft roll makes about 6 to 8 shields. Insul-Shield® is quick and easy to install and is safe for use with cellulose, fiberglass and rock wool insulation
